Eco-threads was a group Figma project designed to combat the fast fashion industry and its overall pollutants. By including things like a reporting system for users to comment on fashions or brands with a sustainability score, those who are fashion/environmentally conscious can see their overall impact. As a group, we researched potential consumer bases to be inclusive of those in different fashion subcultures/groups who may prefer to be more environmentally informed.

There are even further avenues for app improvement by also having a potential Muckraker (the reporters who exposed bad businesses in the 1890’s-1920’s) verified task force that verifies companies’ sustainability practices to keep consumers informed. This format would have incentives for participants, such as earning money or discounts towards purchases.
